SIKESTON, Mo. -- Jill Elaine Vickery and Daniel DeKalb Lape were married March 23, 2002, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Stephen Schneider performed the ceremony. Lectors were Katie Lape of Sikeston, cousin of the groom, and Elizabeth Farrenburg of Memphis, Tenn. Organist was Nora Fuchs and soloist was Patti McPheeters, both of Sikeston.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lee Vickery and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Lape of Sikeston.
Dana Vickery of Sikeston was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Vickery of St. Louis, Erin and Courtney Vickery of Cape Girardeau, Kristin Mitchell of Winchester, Ky., all cousins of the bride; Holly Hale of Sikeston; and Lisa Arnson of Cape Girardeau. Junior bridesmaid was Abbi Keefer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Keefer of Sikeston.
The groom chose his brother, Clay Lape of Sikeston, as best man. Groomsmen were Tyler Alcorn of St. Louis; Aaron Boyce of Sikeston; Ryne Vickery of Sikeston, brother of the bride; Graham Bramblett of Nashville, Tenn.; Neil Caskey of St. Louis; and Jay Hux of Sikeston. Junior groomsman was Luke Keefer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brent Keefer. Ushers were Sam McPheeters of St. Louis, Chris Mitchell of Sikeston, and David Mitchell of Winchester.
Flower girls were Kelly and Reagan Kapp and ringbearer was William Kapp, children of Dr. and Dr. William Kapp of Cape Girardeau.
Beth Johnson of Sikeston, cousin of the groom, attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Jennifer Haines of Sikeston and Emma Porter of Cape Girardeau.
An evening reception was held at the home of the bride's parents. Assisting were Lucy Mitchell of Sikeston and Elizabeth Farrenburg.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner March 22 at The Malone Avenue Grill.
Mrs. Lape is a 2000 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She is an elementary teacher with Sikeston Public School System.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is employed by Mitchell Insurance Inc.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple is residing in Sikeston.
