MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Gwendolyn Sue Vandeven and Joseph Adam Long were married June 4, 2005, at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, Mo. The Rev. Bill Huggins performed the ceremony. Organist was Alissa Vandeven; vocalists were Elaine Stroder, Sharon Van de Ven, Bob Clubb and Mary Jansen, all of Leopold.

The bride is the daughter of Roger and Sheryl Vandeven of Marble Hill. The groom is the son of Joyce Long of Marble Hill, and the late J.L. Long.

Maid of honor was Jill Vandeven of Marble Hill, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sarah Upchurch and Amanda Stoverink of Leopold, Karen McCall of Glenallen, Mo., and Misty Rivers of Cape Girardeau.

Matt Jansen of Leopold, nephew of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Mike Hornberger of Perryville, Mo.; Andrew Jansen of Leopold, nephew of the groom; Rob Allen of Sedgewickville, Mo., and Tim Long of Marble Hill, brother of the groom. Ushers were Bob Lindsey of Fredericktown and Bob Long of Marble Hill, brother of the groom.

Candlelighters were Kari Lancaster and Kristen Price of Columbia, Mo.

Guest book attendants were Tora Jordan, Sasha Hutson and Jennifer Long, all of Marble Hill and nieces of the groom.

The dinner and dance reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Leopold. Servers were Dana Nenninger, Amy Massa and Kelly Wesbecher, all of Marble Hill.

The groom's mother hosted the rehearsal dinner June 3 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Mrs. Long is a 2000 graduate of Leopold High School, and received a bachelor's degree in health science from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2004. She is a nuclear medicine technologist at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is a 1995 graduate of Woodland High School in Marble Hill, and received an associate's degree in science-electrical technology from Mineral Area College in Park Hills, Mo. He is a maintenance technician at TG Missouri Corp. in Perryville.

The couple is residing in Marble Hill.
