Lauren Elizabeth Thompson and Aneel Kumar Jiwanlal were married June 1, 2013, at Centenary United Methodist Church. The Rev. David Conley performed the ceremony. Pianist was Beverly Reece.

Parents of the couple are Ed and Marsha Thompson of Cape Girardeau, and Rich and Shiloh Jiwanlal of Wichita, Kan.

Matron of honor was Dr. Kristi Thompson of Greenfield, Ind., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lauren Gordon of Hanover, Md., Brett Ford of New Orleans, La., Brittney Bellers of St. Louis and Mattie Neff of Denver, Colo.

Shawn Jiwanlal of Wichita was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Nate Jiwanlal of Topeka, Kan., brother of the groom; Dr. Chris Thompson of Fairway, Kan., and Dr. Jon Mark Thompson of Nashville, Tenn., brothers of the bride; Dr. Jason Warncke of Denver; and Josh Tihen and Greeg Kistner of St. Louis.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Kate and James Baker, children of Keith and Kristi Baker of Greenfield and niece and nephew of the bride.

Program attendants were Megan Beissenherz of Kansas City, Kan., and Alex Muntages of St. Louis.

The reception was held at Drury Lodge.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 31 at Cape Girardeau Country Club.

Mrs. Jiwanlal received a bachelor of science in marketing from the University of Missouri.

The groom received a medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine, and is doing an orthopedic residency at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, S.C.

After a wedding trip to the mountains near Asheville, N.C., the couple is residing in Greenville.
