Samantha Renee Stroder and Travis Lane Brown exchanged vows May 18, 2002, at First Baptist Church in Millersville. The Revs. Daniel Hale and Ronnie Brown performed the ceremony. Pianist was Arika Lucy of Jackson. Soloists were Rebecca Johnson and Courtney Crowden, cousin of the bride, both of Jackson.

Mr. and Mrs. Rocky Stroder of Oak Ridge are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Linda Brown of Jackson, and the late James "Bud" Brown.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Trisha Myers of Fruitland, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tori Miller, aunt of the bride; Courtney Crowden; Jessica Hitt, Valerie Harter and Rebecca Johnson.

Tim Estes of Jackson was best man. Groomsmen were Kirk Vogler and Michael Braswell, brothers-in-law of the groom; Bryan McCoy, Dan Wilkens and David Mansker. Ushers were Jarrett Stroder, brother of the bride, and Nathan Brown, cousin of the groom.

Flower girl was Taylor Myers, daughter of Stephen and Trisha Myers and niece of the bride. Ringbearer was Blake Below, son of Robin Below of Whitewater and cousin of the bride.

Kalli Gibbs and Becky Brown handed out balloons.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Elks Lodge in Jackson. Servers were Mary Lou Estes and Laverne Waddle, aunts of the bride.

Mrs. Brown is a 2000 graduate of Jackson High School. She is employed at First Midwest Bank of Piedmont in Piedmont, Mo., and at Custom Events in Jackson.

The groom is a graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University. He is employed at Clearwater R-1 School District in Piedmont.

After a wedding trip to Lebanon, Mo., the couple is residing in Piedmont.
