BENTON, Mo. -- LeShae Danielle Simmons and Jamie Aaron Hann were married Aug. 1, 2009, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton. The Rev. Oscar Lukefahr performed the ceremony. Music was by the choir of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal in Perryville, Mo., directed by Ryan Bolinger of Cape Girardeau. The bride's father also sang.
The ceremony began with the bride's cousins ringing bells as they walked inside the church.
The bride is the daughter of James and Mary Simmons of Benton. The groom is the son of Jayne Shoptaw of Fruitland and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hann of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Elizabeth Glastetter of New Hamburg, Mo. Bridesmaids were Allison Page of Scott City, Jenny Riley of Benton, Kirstin Glaser of Pensacola, Fla., Whitney Ostendorf of Cape Girardeau, and Erika Westrich of Festus, Mo.
Joey Hann of Cape Girardeau was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Travis Hyslop of Denver, Colo., Jeremy Franklin and Joshua Goodrich of Cape Girardeau, Trey Simmons of Benton, brother of the bride, and Dustin Richardson of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Joshua Browning, Eric Niswonger and Eric Bennett, all of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighters were Julia Vetter of Chicago, Janessa Burford of Cape Canaveral, Fla., and Audrey Westrich of Cape Girardeau.
Flower girl and ringbearer were Stella and Jack Sullivan, niece and nephew of the groom. They are the children of Ryan and Nicole Sullivan of Denver.
Program attendants were Becky Hann and Amber Thorne.
The reception was held at St. Denis Parish Center.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 31 at Shibley Hall in New Hamburg.
Mrs. Hann is a 2000 graduate of Kelly High School. She received bachelor of science degrees in mass communication and early childhood education from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a preschool teacher at St. Denis School.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau. He is a firefighter with Cape Girardeau Fire Department.
After a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
