Caitlin Marie Simmons of Cape Girardeau and Brent Lee Taylor of Jackson were married Feb. 25 at St. Mary Cathedral in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Allan Saunders performed the ceremony. Leann Hendrix of Cape Girardeau, aunt of the bride, played the organ. Elaine Hendrix of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride, was cantor. Ethan, Landon and Grayson Brown of Cape Girardeau were violinists.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Lisa Simmons of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Terry and Carolyn Taylor of Puxico, Missouri.
The maid of honor was Laura Voss of San Jose, California, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Emily Messmer of Scott City, friend of the bride; Danielle Robbins of Cape Girardeau, friend of the bride; and Mamie Cox of Boston, friend of the bride.
The best man was Aaron Keplinger of Monterey, California, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Laine Friedrich of Puxico, nephew of the groom; Ryan Simmons of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; and David Martin of Cape Girardeau, friend of the groom.
Ushers were Les Moss, cousin of the groom and Philip Hendrix, cousin of the bride.
The reception was held in the St. Mary Cathedral School gymnasium.
The groom's family hosted the rehearsal dinner on Feb. 24 at the school.
Caitlin is a 2010 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts in history from Southeast Missouri State University in 2013. She is the dining room manager at Dalhousie Golf Club.
Brent is a 2001 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. He is a manager at Outback Steakhouse.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple lives in Jackson.
