SIKESTON, Mo. -- Elizabeth Kendall Sikes and Frank Emanuel Miller were united in marriage May 14, 2005, at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Patricia Shemorry Williams performed the ceremony. Organist was Judy Nickell and soloist was Patti McPheeters, both of Sikeston. Readers were Trina Waldhalm of Bradenton, Fla., and Lora Wendl of Kansas City, Mo.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen W. Sikes of Sikeston. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard F. Sander of Jackson, and the late Bruce E. Miller.
Matron of honor was Catherine Schrumpf of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Megan Boyer of Sikeston, Amy Ditmars of Columbia, Mo., Kristi Tyas of Bluffton, S.C., and Kelly Zigaitis of St. Louis.
Trentis Miller of Columbia was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Garrett Knowlan of Federal Way, Wash., Spencer Knowlan of University City, Mo., Todd Marchi of Jackson, and Chris Vinyard of St. Louis. Ushers were Jason Schrumpf of Cape Girardeau, Justin Freesmeier of St. Louis, Brad Kiesling of Columbia, Steve Sander of Eden Prairie, Minn., and Mitchell Sharp of Hannibal, Mo.
Candlelighters were Catherine Baxley of Plano, Texas, and Connie Dement of Sikeston, cousins of the groom; and Shannon McNary of St. Louis, cousin of the bride.
Flower girls were Natalie Cole of Falls Church, Va., and Courtney McNary of St. Louis, cousins of the bride. Ringbearer was Benjamin Schrumpf of Cape Girardeau, nephew of the bride. Crossbearer was Mollie Baxley of Plano, cousin of the groom.
Megan Barr of St. Louis and Melanie Wiggins of Kansas City attended the guest book.
The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 13 at Dalhousie Downtown in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Miller received a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2001, and a master of education in curriculum and instruction from the university in 2002.
The groom received a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from Westminster College at Fulton, Mo., in 2002. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in May 2005.
After a wedding trip to Point Grace in the Turks and Caicos Islands, the couple will be moving to Alexandria, Va., in late summer.
