Jodie Lynn Shelby and Eric Norman Ticer were married June 10, 2006, at Grace United Methodist Church. The Rev. Scott Moon performed the ceremony. Reader was Minyo Ticer of Cape Girardeau, sister-in-law of the groom. Organist was Laura Bollinger, and pianist was Shane Steck. Vocalists were Tina Trickey and Mike Dumey of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Mitch and Karen Shelby of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Carol and Dewaine Smith of Cape Girardeau and Norman and Connie Ticer of Kelso, Mo.
Matron of honor was Julie Spooler of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Leanne Isaac of Cape Girardeau, Emily York of Troy, Ill., Morgan Conn of O'Fallon, Mo., and Sara Trout of Water Valley, Miss.
Mark Ticer of Cape Girardeau was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Brad Isaac of Cape Girardeau, Josh Lumsdon of Overland Park, Kan., Justin Shelby of Cape Girardeau, and Brandon Streiler of Richmond Heights, Mo. Ushers were Chad Dougherty of Cape Girardeau, Shane Matlock of McClure, Ill., Wes Proffer of St. Charles, Mo., and Dan Tripp of O'Fallon, Mo.
Candlelighters were Alicia Ticer, sister of the groom, and Seth Accord, nephew of the groom.
Flower girls were Angel and Haley Ticer, nieces of the groom. Ringbearer was Riley Dougherty, son of Chad and Christina Dougherty.
Tiffany Lumsdon of Overland Park attended the guest book. Program attendants were Erica Glaus and Shanna Wilson of Cape Girardeau.
A dinner and dance reception was held at Drury Lodge.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Port Cape.
Mrs. Ticer received a bachelor's degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University, and a master's degree from William Woods University. She is a second grade teacher with Jackson School District.
The groom received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southeast. He is a registered nurse in the Emergency Room at Saint Francis Medical Center.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple resides in Cape Girardeau.
