BENTON, Mo. -- Linda Shaw of Charleston, Mo., and Memphis, Tenn., and Larry Urhahn of Benton were married Aug. 17, 2011, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton. Their priest, the Rev. Michael Casteel of St. Denis and St. Lawrence parishes, performed the ceremony.
Scripture was from John 15 12-16. Jim Simmons of St. Denis Parish sang beautifully an a cappella version of the prayer song "Our Father" (The Lord's Prayer).
The wedding party included their sisters, grandchildren, and nephews: June Collier and Sonnie Bollinger, Mallory Urhahn (flower girl), Landon Urhahn (ringbearer), Les Collier and Cole Bollinger.
Linda and Larry were classmates of Thomas W. Kelly High School Class of 1965. She is retired from FedEx, and he from Procter and Gamble.
One of their favorite songs is the Beatles' "When I'm Sixty-Four" (lyrics "Will you still need me; will you still feed me, when I'm 64...Will you still be sending me a valentine, birthday greetings, bottle of wine?"
A small party of family and friends who attended the wedding also joined Linda and Larry at their Benton home for a reception.
