Vickie G. Selimos and Steven J. Renick exchanged vows Nov. 2, 2002, at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Merrillville, Ind. The Rev. Theodore Poteres performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Alexis Brataeskis.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George T. Selimos of Sandwich, Ill. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George S. Renick of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Anniesa Selimos of Sandwich, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Nicole Thomson of St. Louis and Christina Renick of Cape Girardeau, sisters of the groom.
Michael Renick of Cape Girardeau served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Thomas and Bruno Selimos of Chicago, brothers of the bride. Ushers were Chris Thomson, brother-in-law of the groom, and Dan Kickham, cousin of the groom, both of St. Louis.
Flower girl and ringbearer were Kayla and Scott Simon of Chicago, cousins of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at White Hawk Country Club in Crown Point, Ind.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Aurelio's in Merrillville.
Mrs. Renick received a bachelor of science degree in food sciences from the University of Illinois. She is a sales representative with Nabisco.
The groom received a bachelor of science degree in metalurgy engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He is employed at Allied Tube in Chicago.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple is residing in New Lenox, Ill.
