Susan Lynn Sciortino and Brent Victor Pfeiffer were married Sept. 24, 2005, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. The Rev. David Johnson performed the ceremony. Organist was Matt Palish of Jackson, and soloists were Beth St. John of Jackson and Adrian True of St. Louis.

The bride is the daughter of James Michael and Lana Sciortino of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Wayne and Carole Pfeiffer of Jackson.

Honor attendants were Amy Smith of Jackson and Jennifer Stitz of North Hills, Calif. Bridesmaids were Cynthia Moen-Pflipsen of Fargo, N.D., Melissa Guilliams of Jackson, Meg Hoyle of Kansas City, Mo., Tammy Parrish of New York, N.Y., and Robyn Davis of St. Louis.

Travis Turner of Jackson was best man. Groomsmen were Doug Spooler of Cape Girardeau; Kyle Glass, Mike Gross and Jason St. John of Jackson; Travis Ward of Des Moines, Iowa, brother of the groom; and Ryan Smith of Jackson. Ushers were Seth Gregg of St. Louis and Jeremy Booker of Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Candlelighter was Tara King of Cape Girardeau.

Flower girls were Harper Gray and Ivy Guilliams and ringbearer was Gus Guilliams, children of Mark and Melissa Guilliams.

Guest book attendants were Carol Sparkman of Cape Girardeau and Cheryl Seabaugh of Jackson. Programs were handed out by Kelli Seabaugh of Jackson and Jean Ward of Des Moines, sister-in-law of the groom.

The reception was held at the Bavarian Halle in Jackson.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the Elks Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Pfeiffer is a graduate of Central High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in communication disorders from Southeast Missouri State University, and attended the Graduate School of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology at the University of Memphis. She is employed at MedAssets/RPI in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is a graduate of Jackson High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and is pursuing a master of science degree in engineering management at the university. He is employed at Koehler Engineering and Land Surveying in Cape Girardeau.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is residing in Jackson.
