SIKESTON, Mo. -- Julie Marie Schutte and Ryan Edwin Masters exchanged vows May 29, 2004, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Quincy, Ill. The Rev. Roy Bauer performed the ceremony. Organist was Monica Scholz and vocalists were Steve and Patti McPheeters. Readers were Garrett Monasterio of Maple Grove, Minn., and Steven Taylor of Champaign, Ill., cousins of the bride.
Parents of the couple are David and Janet Schutte of Payson, Ill., and Dr. Edwin and Jacqueline Masters of Sikeston.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Amanda Patton of Salem, Mo., and matron of honor was Tara Tindall of Belleville, Ill. Bridesmaids were Kelcey Blair of St. Louis; Emily Kocanda of Lake Forest, Ill., cousin of the bride; and Erin Cryer of Dallas, Texas, sister of the groom.
Reid Masters of Columbia, Mo., was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Jordan Masters of Cape Girardeau, brother of the groom; Joseph and Jason Schutte of Payson, brothers of the bride; and Brandon Darby of Bentonville, Ark., cousin of the groom. Ushers were Michael Taylor of Ames, Iowa, cousin of the bride, and Allen Cryer of Dallas, brother-in-law of the groom.
Flower girl was Anna Cryer of Dallas, niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Caden Darby of Bentonville, cousin of the groom.
Guest book attendants were Kathaleen Loos of Liberty, Ill., aunt of the bride, and Michele Izuchukwu of St. Louis. Program attendants were Samantha and Sydney Haistings of Kansas City, Mo., cousins of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a dinner at Sprout's Inn in Quincy. The reception was later held at Knights of Columbus North Hall.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 28 at The Pier Restaurant in Quincy.
Mrs. Masters is a 1998 graduate of Seymour High School in Payson. She received a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2004, and expects to receive a doctor of pharmacy in 2005. She is a graduate pharmacist at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis.
The groom is a 1992 graduate of Sikeston High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1997, and a juris doctor from Drake University Law School in 2000. He is a staff pharmacist at Wal-Mart.
After a cruise in the Eastern Caribbean, the couple resides in Quincy.
