Jenna Anne Schroeder and Dr. Matthew Christian Shivelbine were married Oct. 17, 2009, at Third Degree Glass Factory in St. Louis. The Rev. William Schroeder, father of the bride, performed the ceremony. Vocalists were Irene Jones, Maureen Sullivan and Brian Wiegert; instrumentalists were Jim and Eric Steitz, Pat Eagan, Jason Matthews and Andrew Weil, all of St. Louis.
Parents of the couple are the Rev. William and Georgene Schroeder of Pleasant Hill, Mo., and Michael and Kathleen Shivelbine of Cape Girardeau.
Maids of honor were Erin Schroeder of St. Louis and Suzanna Schroeder of Chicago, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lauren Johnson of St. Louis; Angela Cervany of Mulberry, Fla.; and Elizabeth Winkler of St. Louis, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaid was Erica Mutzbauer of St. Louis, niece of the bride.
The groom chose his grandfather, M.L. Christensen of Naples, Fla., as best man. Groomsmen were David Winkler of St. Louis, brother-in-law of the groom; Christopher Simpler and Jack Pointer Jr. of Chicago; and John Kriecbergs of Kansas City, Mo. Ushers were Amy VanOort and Michael Herold of St. Louis.
The reception was held at the glass factory.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 16 at Square One Brewery in St. Louis.
Mrs. Shivelbine is a fabric artist and owner of Duck Soup.
The groom received a doctor of veterinary medicine from the University of Missouri in 2002. He is employed at the Humane Society of Missouri in St. Louis.
The bride and groom are members of a touring punk/bluegrass band, The Monads.
After a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple is residing in St. Louis.
