Christy Renee Schmitt and Russell Adam Malahy were married Sept. 20, 2008, in Darby, Mont. Judge Clute performed the ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Dennis and Donna Schmitt of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Ed and Deanna Kranawetter and Barry Malahy, all of Jackson.
Witnesses were Lori Malahy of Seattle, Wash., cousin of the groom, and Nathan Malahy of Cape Girardeau, brother of the groom.
A reception was held Sept. 27 at Iron Mountain Railroad in Jackson. Servers were Stacy and Stephanie Pobst of Sikeston, Mo., cousins of the bride.
Mrs. Malahy received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Southeast Missouri State University, and then acquired her CPA license. She is an accountant with Cavett, Turner and Wyble in Beaumont, Texas.
The groom received a bachelor of science degree in wildlife biology and criminal justice. He is a park ranger at Wallisville Lake Project in Wallisville, Texas.
The couple is residing in Hankamer, Texas.
