Rachel Dawn Schmidt and Michael Brandon Bachmann were married Sept. 17, 2011, at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, Mo. The Revs. Roger Abernathy and Gene Stueve, uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony. Organist was Keith Koenig of Cape Girardeau, and soloist was the Rev. Roger Steinbrueck of Friedheim.
The bride is the daughter of Ken and Carol Schmidt of Friedheim. The groom is the son of Mark and Melissa Bachmann of Farrar.
Matron of honor was April Woods of Austin, Texas, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lindsay Everett of Chaffee, Mo.; Crystal Zoellner of Friedheim, cousin of the bride; Katie Schmidt of St. Louis, sister-in-law of the bride; Sarah Seabaugh of Jackson, cousin of the bride; Kaycee Hedge of Perryville, Mo.; and Kim Ponder of Altenburg, Mo.
Matthew Bachmann of Perryville was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Brandon Buerck of Perryville; Marcus Bachmann of Farrar, brother of the groom; Patrick Meyer, Michael Meyer, Tim Neislein, and Travis Steffens, all of Perryville. Ushers were Tony Miesner of Farrar and Jade Schmidt of St. Louis, brother of the bride.
Candlelighters were Megan Prough, sister of the groom, and Emily Miesner, cousin of the bride, both of Farrar.
Flower girl was Kylee Wiggins, daughter of Gene and Ashley Wiggins of Jackson and cousin of the bride. Ringbearers were Henry Schmidt, Cole and Mason Prough. Henry is the son of Jade and Katie Schmidt and nephew of the bride. Cole and Mason are sons of Megan Prough and nephews of the groom.
Karen Schmidt of Farrar, aunt of the bride, attended the guest book. Program attendants were Dakota Zoellner of Friedheim, cousin of the bride, and Tyler Koenig of Farrar, cousin of the groom.
The reception was held at the American Legion Hall in Perryville.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 16 at the church hall.
Mrs. Bachmann is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School, and is attending Mineral Area College. She is employed at Healthpoint Rehab.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Perryville High School. He is employed at Mueller Fencing.
After a wedding trip to Gulf Shores, Ala., the couple is residing in Uniontown, Mo.
