Jessica Gale Schaefer and Jason Ryan Landis were married May 14, 2005, at Francine's Gardens in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Gary Teague of Rolla, Mo., performed the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mike and Lisa Schaefer and Wayne and Bernie Landis, all of Scott City.
Maid of honor was Amy Lueders of Land O'Lakes, Fla., cousin of the bride. Matron of honor was Courtney Schaefer of Scott City, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Terra Crews of Wesley Chapel, Fla., cousin of the bride; Tracy Carmen of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom; Jodi Avery of Scott City, cousin of the bride; Lani Steimle of Benton, Mo.; Heather Ingvalson and Jenine Choate of Scott City.
Glendon Stroup of Scott City was best man. Groomsmen were Larry Driskell, Ryan Quick, Jeremy Jones and Ben Gates, all of Cape Girardeau; Adam Gibbs and Josh Choate of Scott City; and John Carmen of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the groom. Ushers were Ryan Ellinger of Scott City, Brandon Crews of Wesley Chapel, and Justin Asbridge of Chaffee, Mo., cousins of the bride.
Flower girl was Breahanna Choate, and ringbearers were Cole Ellinger, Braden Carmen and Bradon Lueders. Breahanna is the daughter of Josh and Jenine Choate. Cole is the son of Ryan and Stephanie Ellinger and cousin of the bride. Braden is the son of John and Tracy Carmen and nephew of the groom. Bradon is the son of Brad and Amy Lueders and cousin of the bride.

The reception was held at Francine's Gardens. Servers were Cindy Crews of Land O'Lakes and Karen Asbridge of Chaffee, aunts of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 13 at Buckner Brewing Co. in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Landis is a 1999 graduate of Scott City High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in social work from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a caseworker at Bootheel Counseling Center in Sikeston, Mo.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Scott City High School. He is employed at VanMatre Construction.
The couple is residing in Scott City.
