Sarah Jean Schaefer and Joshua Ross Maxwell were united in marriage June 7, 2008, at The Phoenix 3 in Orange Beach, Ala.
The bride is the daughter of Ken and Kate Schaefer of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Marvin and Sue Maxwell of Cerulean, Ky.
Maid of honor was Bridget Schaefer of Marion, Ky., cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Hannah and Laura Schaefer of Cape Girardeau, sisters of the bride.
Jason Weatherford of Hopkinsville, Ky., was best man. Groomsmen were Drew Miller of Russellville, Ky., and Jeremy McKeel of Murray, Ky.
Flower girl was Abigail Miller, daughter of Drew and Amy Miller. Ringbearer was Mason Maxwell, son of the bride and groom.
The reception was held at The Phoenix 3.
Mrs. Maxwell is a 2004 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She is pursuing an associate degree in business administration from Hopkinsville Community College. She is office manager at Food Lion.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Calloway County High School in Murray. He received a bachelor of science degree in radio/television at Murray State University, and is pursuing a master's degree in mass communication at the university. He is the television production manager at Hopkinsville Community College, and operates a video business.
After a wedding trip in Orange Beach, the couple is residing in Hopkinsville.
