Aimee Suzanne Rushin and Jonathan Mark Gerdes were married Oct. 21, 2006, at Twin Springs Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Junior Vester performed the ceremony. Vocalist was Susan Stelling of Frohna, Mo.
The bride is the daughter of Rick Rushin and Linda Rushin of Poplar Bluff. The groom is the son of Mark and Georgiana Gerdes of Jackson.
Matron of honor was Scotti Rushin of Poplar Bluff, aunt of the bride. Bridesmaid was Darlene Vandeven of Chaffee, Mo.
Benjamin Gerdes of Mason, Ohio, was his brother's best man. Groomsman was Matthew Rushin of Poplar Bluff, brother of the bride. Ushers were Eric Sievers of Jackson and Gilbert Yates of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighters were Shannon Sisson of Poplar Bluff and Ashley Felker of Bentonville, Ark., cousin of the groom.
Flower girl was Sarah Conner, daughter of Doug and Kim Conner and cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Christopher Gerdes, son of Benjamin and Allison Gerdes and nephew of the groom.
Shannon Sisson attended the guest book.
A dinner and dance reception was held at the Elks Lodge in Poplar Bluff. Servers were Susan Lawson, Clea Fairaizl, Janet Ousley, aunt of the bride; Melissa Woolard, cousin of the bride; and Diana Felker, aunt of the groom.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 20 at Perkins Restaurant.
Mrs. Gerdes is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed by Robert J. Whelan, CPA, in Poplar Bluff.
The groom is a graduate of Mineral Area College. He is employed by Mathis and Associates Engineering and Surveying in Poplar Bluff.
After a wedding trip to Chattanooga, Tenn., and Blue Ridge, Ga., the couple resides in Poplar Bluff.
