Brenda Kay Roth of Murphysboro, Illinois, and Christopher Sean Yearack of Carbondale, Illinois, were married Nov. 28, 2015, at Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City, Missouri. The Rev. Marty Hasz was ceremony officiant and the Rev. David Roth of Owensville, Missouri, cousin of the bride, was ceremony speaker. Music was provided by organist Heraleen Bowers of Scott City and soloists were Leslie Kriete of Columbia, Missouri; Darla Loftus of Carterville, Illinois; and Cyndy Green of Carbondale, all friends of the bride. Readers were Margaret Pender of Scott City and Bonnie Stoffel of Murphysboro, both friends of the bride.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Doris Roth of Scott City. She is the granddaughter of the late Ernest and Marie Roth and the late Frank and Linda Kenkel.
The groom is the son of the late Terry L. Yearack, the late Jacalyn K. Yearack and the late Philip C. Watson. He is the grandson of the late Gleason and Dola Mae Billingsley, the late Bob Yearack, the late Betty Jane Hilliard and the late Rev. Richard E. Watson, Ph.D.
The bride wore a white satin A-line gown with beaded metallic embroidery, cap sleeves, a chiffon split front and a lace-up corseted back complemented by a rhinestone and pearl headband and a white veil with tiny scattered floral detail. She carried a bouquet of sentimental brooches, such as a heart locket that belonged to the groom's late mother. The groom's boutonniere held the key that unlocked the heart.
Bridesmaids wore little black dresses of their own choice and the groomsmen wore tuxedos with burgundy vests and bow ties. The flower girl wore a short burgundy dress.
Bridesmaids carried a single long-stemmed red rose and the flower girl dropped red rose petals.
Matron of honor was Linda Phillips of Scott City, twin sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Sharon Lee and Karen Medlin, both of Scott City and sisters of the bride; and Ashley Zeigler, Chelsea Phillips and Erika Medlin, all of Scott City and nieces of the bride.
Flower girl was Avery Zeigler, daughter of Michael and Ashley Zeigler of Scott City and great-niece of the bride.
Ring bearer was Mason Adams, son of Kelsey Bridgwater and Ben Adams of St. Louis and friend of the groom.
Candlelighters were Suzanne Garoian of Cobden, Illinois, and Mallory Reddick of Scott City, both friends of the bride.
Best man was Greg Bridgwater of Mount Vernon, Illinois, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Edwin "Butch" Lee of Scott City, friend of the groom and brother-in-law of the bride; Carl "Ed" Steele of Belleville, Illinois, friend of the groom; Bill King of Logan, Ohio, friend of the groom; Donnie Phillips of Scott City, friend of the groom and brother-in-law of the bride; and Brian Roth of DeSoto, Illinois, friend of the groom and cousin of the bride.
Ushers were Shawn Lee and Travis Phillips of Scott City, nephews of the bride.
Ginger Underwood of Warrensburg, Missouri, friend of the bride, was program attendant. Priscilla Baumann of Elberta, Alabama, friend of the bride, was corsage and guest book attendant. Tabitha Baumann, daughter of Priscilla, was bubble attendant.
A wedding reception with dinner and dancing was held at Ray's Plaza Banquet Center in Cape Girardeau. Cake servers were Chris Baer of Perryville, Missouri, and Lisa Windeknecht of Cape Girardeau, both cousins of the bride, and Lori Hale and Teresa Keller, both of Scott City and friends of the bride.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by Donnie and Linda Phillips at Eisleben Lutheran parish hall in Scott City.
The bride received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master of Accountancy from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She is an accountant at SIU Head Start.
The groom attended John A. Logan College and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He is co-owner of Bullseye Transport Inc.
The newlyweds reside in Murphysboro.
