CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Tobi Anne Raney and Ryan James Layton were married Aug. 11, 2001, at La Croix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Jeff Miller, uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony. Pianist and soloist was Chris Nall of Cape Girardeau.

Parents of the couple are Ken and Deb Raney of Hesston, Kan., and Jim and Janice Layton of Perryville, Mo.

Heather Keltner of Hickson, Tenn., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura VanHoevelaak of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; Erin Pennington, Carissa Sweigart and Tavia Raney, sister of the bride, all of Hesston.

Best man was Brandon Myer of Broken Bow, Neb. Groomsmen were Tyson Brown , cousin of the groom; Andy Hudson; Paul Layton, brother of the groom, all of Perryville; and Jeff Neumann of Fulton, Mo. Ushers were Tarl Raney of Seattle, Wash., and Trey Raney of Hesston, brothers of the bride.

Candlelighter was Rachel Layton of Perryville, sister of the groom.

Flower girl was April Layton, daughter of Daniel and Angie Layton of Perryville and cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Quinn Brown, son of Tom and Melanie Brown of Cape Girardeau and cousin of the groom.

Jessie Thompson and Amy Arteme attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at River Hills Eagles Club. Servers were Julie Layton, Angie Layton and Sarah Orf.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 10 at Cape County Park.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Hesston High School, and is majoring in early childhood education at Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Outback Steakhouse in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of Perryville High School, and is majoring in biology at Southeast University. He is employed by Rhodes 101 Stop.

The couple resides in Chaffee.
