Proctor - Black

BENTON, Mo. -- Summer Renee Proctor and Cody Tyler Black were married June 21, 2014, in a garden setting at the home of her parents. Judge David Dolan performed the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Dwayne and Karla Proctor of Benton, and Philip and Sharon Black of Sikeston, Missouri.

Matron of honor was Brittany Felter of Scott City, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Paige Caudle of Sikeston and Jade Rampley of Benton, cousins of the bride; Ashley Vetter of St. Petersburg, Florida, Nikki McNeely of Jackson, Heather Steffens of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Kalie Hughes of Jackson, Dana French of Benton, and Kourtnie Smith of Oceanside, California.

Zac Black of Collierville, Tennessee, was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Colton Black of Sikeston, brother of the groom; Jordan Proctor and Kade Proctor of Benton, brothers of the bride; Colt Pruitt of Sikeston, Chris Matthews of North Cordova, Tennessee, Tyler Baker of Sikeston, Sam Wilson of Columbia, Missouri, and Devin James of Sikeston. Ushers were Roy Proctor of Benton and Ronnie LeGrand of Kelso, Missouri, uncles of the bride.

Flower girl was Berkleigh Caldwell and ringbearer was Witton Gambill, cousins of the bride. Berkleigh is the daughter of Brittany and John Felter of Scott City and Chris Caldwell of Stafford, Virginia. Witton is the son of Jason and Fleming Gambill of Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Programs were handed out by Brent and Ginger Rampley and Gary and Karen Silverthorn.

A garden reception was held at the Proctor home. Servers were Elaine Proctor, Sharon LeGrand, Lucretia Luster and Kay Wilson.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 20 at Mill's Wildfire in Sikeston.

Summer received a bachelor of science in nursing from Murray State University. She is a Cardiac Progressive Care nurse at Clovis Community Medical Center in Clovis, California.

Cody received a bachelor of science in agriculture/business from Mississippi State University. He is employed by Helena Chemical Co. as an environmental and safety specialist of the western business unit.

After a wedding trip to Bora Bora and Tahiti, the couple is residing in Fresno, California.
