Mallory Beth Prewett and Kody Nelson Thompson were united in marriage Oct. 24, 2009, at First United Methodist Church in West Plains, Mo. Mark Mildren performed the ceremony. Organist was Linda Wade, trumpeter was Dr. Rich Thompson, and soloists were Matthew Stephens and Amy Ackerson.

The bride is the daughter of Joe and Stacy Prewett of West Plains. The groom is the son of John and Teresa Thompson of Jackson.

Matron of honor was Kaci Hubbard of St. Louis, sister of the groom. Bridesmaids were Erica Thompson of Jackson, sister-in-law of the groom; Ashley Hamby of West Plains, Jessica Ladd of St. Louis, Lindsey Murphy and Jessica Johnson of West Plains.

Kyle Thompson of Jackson was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Luke Hubbard of St. Louis, brother-in-law of the groom; Alex Prewett of West Plains, brother of the bride; Aaron Randolph of St. Louis, Ross Hicks and Darren Lovelace of West Plains. Ushers were Charlie Robinson, cousin of the bride, and Josh Hamby, both of West Plains.

Candlelighters were Amber Carr of West Plains, cousin of the bride, and Kelli Schenimann of Jackson.

Flower girl was Zoey Williams, daughter of Lindsey Murphy and Justin Williams of West Plains. Ringbearer was Kannen Turley, son of Nathan and Alisha Turley of Jackson.

The reception was held at the historic West Plains Opera House.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 23 at West Plains Country Club.

Mrs. Thompson is a 2005 graduate of West Plains High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in mass communications with emphasis in public relations from Southeast Missouri State University in 2008. She is city clerk with the city of West Plains.

The groom is a 2004 graduate of Jackson High School, and a 2005 graduate of Nashville Auto Diesel College. He is a Diesel technician with Diamond International in West Plains.

After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple is residing in West Plains.
