SIKESTON, Mo. -- Angela Sue Plafcan and Carl Edward Todt Jr. were married July 20, 2002, at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Slovak, Ark. The Rev. John A. Janesko and Msgr. Richard Rolwing performed the ceremony. Acolytes were Joshua Plafcan of Slovak, nephew of the bride, and Will Dobrovich of Stuttgart, Ark.
Lector was Sylvester Todt of Oran, Mo., uncle of the groom. Eucharistic gifts were carried by Cletus and Hannah Todt of Cape Girardeau, uncle and aunt of the groom. Eucharistic ministers were Sister Dorothy Ann Plafcan of Little Rock, Ark., aunt of the bride, and Sister Patricia Jan Liter of Cleveland, Miss.
Music was provided by organist, Polly Franzen of Stuttgart, and Angie Hynum of Brinkley, Ark.
Mr. and Mrs. George J. Plafcan of Stuttgart are parents of the bride. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl E. Todt Sr. of Sikeston.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Maid of honor was Hannah Plafcan, daughter of the bride. Bridesmaids were Maria Plafcan of Longmont, Colo., sister of the bride, and Susan Howard of Jackson, sister of the groom.
Tom Todt of Oklahoma City, Okla., cousin of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Tony Johnson of Vanduser, Mo., and Dennis Plafcan of Stuttgart, brother of the bride. Ushers were Mark Howard of Jackson, brother-in-law of the groom, and Matthew Plafcan of Austin, Texas, nephew of the bride.
Flower girls were Lauren Plafcan of Slovak and Emma Plafcan of Conway, Ark., nieces of the bride. Ringbearer was Tyler Howard of Jackson, nephew of the groom.
Brooke Besser of Little Rock and Melissa Lisko of Slovak attended the guest book and handed out programs.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held in the parish center. Servers were Donna Bennett of Missouri City, Texas, Joanna Greasel of Carmel, Ind., and Catherine and Sarah Hatfield of Slovak.
Mrs. Todt is employed at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is engaged in farming.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., and Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Sikeston.
