First United Methodist Church in Bourbon, Mo., was the setting Aug. 6, 2005, for the wedding of Sarah Elizabeth Peterson and Jeffery Paul Lappe. The Rev. Daniel Kriefall performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Gary and Bonnie Peterson of Bourbon. The groom is the son of Paul and Debbie Lappe of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Misty Bouse of Bourbon. Bridesmaids were Kim Peterson of Kansas City, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride; Jessi Payne and Alyssa Peterson, cousin of the bride, both of Bourbon; and Alison Phillips of Tomah, Wis., cousin of the bride.
Kevin Lappe of Jackson was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Chris Peterson of Kansas City, Mo., brother of the bride; John Glueck of Cape Girardeau, John Lechen and Danny Payne of Bourbon. Ushers were Josh Pobst of Oran, Mo., cousin of the groom, and Grant West of Leasburg, Mo., cousin of the bride.
Candlelighters were Brianna Peterson and Austin Kight. Brianna is the daughter of Diane Peterson and cousin of the bride. Austin is the son of Jeff and Lisa Kight and cousin of the groom.
Flower girls were Ali Hornback and Anna Pobst, cousins of the groom. Ali is the daughter of Jill Pobst and Jay Hornback of Oran. Anna is the daughter of Jason and Sabrina Pobst. Ringbearers were infants Abigail Peterson and Eden Lappe, who were pushed in a stroller by Elizabeth Kight. Abigail is the daughter of Chris and Kim Peterson of Kansas City, Mo., niece of the bride. Eden is the daughter of Kevin Lappe and Karisa Williams of Jackson and niece of the groom. Elizabeth is the daughter of Jeff ad Lisa Kight, and a cousin and godchild of the groom.
Guest book attendants were Asha and Stefanie Peterson of Bourbon, cousins of the bride.
The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Cuba, Mo.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 5 at the American Legion Hall in Leasburg.
Mrs. Lappe is a 1999 graduate of Bourbon High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Central Methodist University in 2003. She is employed at Fidelity Communications in Sullivan, Mo.
The groom is a 1996 graduate of Central High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in outdoor recreation and community youth sports from Missouri Western in 2001. He is employed by Missouri Department of Transportation in St. Clair, Mo.
The couple resides in Bourbon.
