Whitney Susanne Ostendorf and Trey James David Simmons III were united in marriage Sept. 18, 2010, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, Mo. The Rev. Michael Casteel performed the ceremony. Organist was Angela Klueppel of Benton, trumpeter was Matt Martin, and soloists were Heather Weimer of Jackson, and James Simmons, father of the groom.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Tammy Ostendorf of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of James and Mary Simmons of Benton.

Maids of honor were Lindsey and Cortney Ostendorf of Cape Girardeau, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were LeShae Hann of Cape Girardeau, sister of the groom; Jenny Nagel of Springfield, Mo., Kelly Essner of New Hamburg, Mo., Alana Weissmueller of St. Louis, and Amanda Essner of Kelso, Mo.

Tripp Culbertson of Sikeston, Mo., was best man. Groomsmen were Allen Frey of Kelso; Jamie Hann of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the groom; Kent Deason of Cape Girardeau; Derek Felter of Benton; Conrad Westrich of Cape Girardeau and Garrett Sander of Benton, both cousins of the groom. Ushers were Corey Bowman of Cape Girardeau and Nathan Burford of Benton, cousin of the groom.

Candlelighters were Amanda Lappe of Oak Ridge, cousin of the bride, and Jessi Yarbro of Cape Girardeau.

Flower girls were Kayli Lappe, cousin of the bride, and Jenna Essner, cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Caleb Burger, cousin of the bride. Kayli is the daughter of Tim and Michelle Lappe of Jackson. Jenna is the daughter of Jamie and Emily Essner of Commerce. Caleb is the son of Bryan and Janice Burger of Scott City.

The reception was held at Bavarian Halle in Jackson.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 17 at their home.

Mrs. Simmons received a bachelor of science in dietetics. She is currently completing the dietetic internship at Southeast Missouri State University and is pursuing a master of arts degree in human environmental studies at the university. She is employed at Special Design Health Care.

The groom is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in horticulture at Southeast. He is employed by city of Cape Girardeau at Jaycee Municipal Golf Course, and is assistant varsity girls basketball coach at Kelly High School in Benton.

After a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple is residing in Benton.
