O'Hare-Van de Ven

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Stacey Michelle O'Hare and Jason Michael Van de Ven were married June 23, 2007, at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, Mo. The Rev. James Seyer and the Rev. William Huggins performed the ceremony. Organist was Alissa Vandeven of Leopold. Vocalists were Jill Bollinger of Kennett, Mo., and Stan Seiler of Leopold, uncle of the groom.

Readers were John and Sandy Wright of Richmond, Va., uncle and aunt of the bride. Giftbearers were Frank and Margie Bucher of Kelso, Mo., godparents of the groom. Mass servers were Brandon Bueter and Lance Seiler, cousin of the groom, both of Leopold.

Parents of the couple are Patrick and Denise O'Hare of Advance, and Roy and Sharon Van de Ven of Leopold.

Matrons of honor were Amy Gilmore of Advance and Brittni St. Mary of Portageville, Mo. Bridesmaids were Marianne Cook and Candice Duncan of Cape Girardeau, Becki Moss of Manchester, Mo., and Kacie Meyer of Imperial, Mo. Junior bridesmaid was Katie Van de Ven of Leopold, sister of the groom.

Adam Horrell of Leopold was best man. Groomsmen were Josh and Cody Van de Ven of Leopold, brothers of the groom; Eric O'Hare of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; Alan Beussink of Jackson, and Daniel Schaab of Oak Ridge. Ushers were Eric Seiler of Leopold, cousin of the groom; Lee VanderMierden of Leopold, and John David Vandeven of Creve Coeur, Mo.

Candlelighters were Jennifer Bucher of St. Charles, Mo., cousin of the groom, and Brittney Wright of Richmond, Va., cousin of the bride.

Flower girls were Paige Davis, cousin of the groom, and Kinley Alcorn, godchild of the bride. Ringbearer was William Carey Jr., cousin of the bride. Paige is the daughter of Rod and Sandy Davis of Leopold. Kinley is the daughter of Denny and Kim Alcorn of Oran, Mo. William is the son of William and Tina Carey of Oxford, N.C.

Program attendants were Emily, Lauren and Cassie Seiler of Leopold, cousins of the groom.

The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 22 at Glennon Parish Hall.

Mrs. Van de Ven is a 1998 graduate of Advance High School. She received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2003, and expects to receive a master's degree in elementary education in May 2008. She is a Title I reading specialist at Woodland Elementary School in Marble Hill, Mo.

The groom is a 2000 graduate of Leopold High School. He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southeast in 2005. He is director of accounting and finance at Kies Eye Center, LLC.

After a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple resides in Leopold.
