Rebecca Anne Ogborn became the bride of John Edward Zytynski Sept. 1, 2001, at Centenary United Methodist Church. Dr. Clayton L. Smith performed the double ring, candlelight ceremony.
Readers were Jennifer Butz of Laurel, Md., cousin of the bride, and Robert Mainord Jr. of Santa Monica, Calif. Organist was Beverly Reece of Cape Girardeau. Additional music was presented by a string quartet composed of Beverly Reece, Eric Miller, Kyle Miller and Dr. Gary Miller, all of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Billy Ogborn of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward John Zytynski of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
Matrons of honor were Lisa Duymelinck-Poche of Ole Weaver, Belgium, and Monique Miklovich of Durham, N.C. Bridesmaids were Christina Phillips Green of Cape Girardeau; Karin Proodian of Hermosa Beach, Calif.; and Kimberly Zytynski of Osaka, Japan, sister of the bride.
Dr. Steven Radovich of Windsor served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Gregg Fraba and Kevork Kalaydjian of Windsor; Michael Hale of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; and William Ogborn of Alexandria, Va., brother of the bride. Ushers were Mark Dolfato of Chicago, Michael Gratton of San Francisco, Scott McBeath of Windsor, Brian Saunders of New York, N.Y., and Michael Heid of Hermosa Beach.
Flower girl was Kelly Embree of Branson, Mo., cousin of the bride. Bellringers were Ellen and Anna Garrett, Jessica Stearns and Caroline Harding, all of Cape Girardeau.
Candlelighters were John and Katherine Sides of St. Louis, cousins of the bride.
Allegra Dryden of Tucson, Ariz., attended the guest book. Program attendants were Katrina Butz of Richmond, Va., and Melissa Butz of Austin, Texas, cousins of the bride.
Following the ceremony, the reception, dinner and dance was held at Cape Girardeau Country Club.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Aug. 31 at the home of the bride's parents.
The bride is a graduate of Central High School. She received a degree in business/entrepreneurship and marketing from the University of Southern California, and received a master's in health administration from the university in May 2001. She is completing her residency at Norris Cancer Center in Los Angeles.
The groom received a degree in commerce from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. He is western regional sales manager with Del-Tech Inc. in Denver, Colo.
After a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple will reside in Denver.
