Sherri Lynne Montgomery and Richard Lee Howard exchanged vows May 12, 2007, at the Water's Edge Retreat in Gordonville.

Gabriel Montgomery of Fruitland and Lucas Montgomery of Cape Girardeau, sons of the bride, presented their mother in marriage.

The bride is the daughter of LaVerne Skinner of Cape Girardeau and the late Eugene Skinner. The groom is the son of Barbara Smith of Puxico, Mo., and the late Elbert Howard.

Cortney Montgomery of Los Angeles, Calif., daughter of the bride, was maid of honor.

Best man was Ron Holder of Scott City.

Melissa Looney of Owasso, Okla., and Misty Davis of Tulsa, Okla., daughters of the groom, lit the torches.

A reception was held after the ceremony.

Mrs. Howard is a registered nurse at Missouri Veterans Home.

The groom is self-employed in construction.

After a wedding trip to La Romana, Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Jackson.
