Heather Anne Mize and Matthew Lee Hale were married July 24, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Millersville. The Rev. Daniel Hale performed the ceremony. Pianist was Matt Yount and soloist was Robert Cox, both of Jackson.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. James Mize of Cape Girardeau, and the Rev. and Mrs. Daniel Hale of Millersville.

Maid of honor was Alicia Bell of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jessica Wilkinson, stepsister of the bride, Casey Borgfield, cousin of the bride, both of Jackson, and Dana Reno of Nashville, Tenn., stepsister of the bride.

Josh Koehler of North Carolina was best man. Groomsmen were Jared Hale of Ballwin, Mo., brother of the groom; Ryan Corn of Scott City, and Devin Bell of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Justin Borgfield of Oak Ridge and Travis Bell of Cape Girardeau, cousins of the bride, and Daron Wilkinson of Marble Hill, Mo., stepbrother of the bride.

Candlelighters were Alana Hobeck of Oak Ridge and Samantha Miller of Jackson.

Flower girls were Sierra Hale of Olathe, Kan., cousin of the groom, and Madison Hale of Ballwin, niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Ryan Hale, cousin of the groom.

Kyla Hahn of Marble Hill attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the church. Servers were Anita Mize of Cape Girardeau and Linda Miller of Jackson, aunts of the bride.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 23 at the church.

Mrs. Hale is a 2001 graduate of Jackson High School, and completed cosmetology and instructor training at Trend Setters School of Cosmetology. She is a full time instructor at Trend Setters.

The groom is a 1999 graduate of Jackson High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2004. He is a physical education teacher and basketball and track coach at Scott County School District.

After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
