McDowell-Johnson

Erica Dawn McDowell and Joshua J. Johnson were married July 15, 2006, at Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm in Olathe, Kan. Judge Linda Trigg performed the ceremony. Music was by Ivone Myers of Garnett, Kan., sister of the groom.

Sheryl Vanderpool of Cape Girardeau is the mother of the bride. The groom is the son of Brad and Cheryl Johnson of Olathe, Kan.

The bride was presented in marriage by her brother, Sgt. Dustin McDowell.

Maid of honor was Amanda Carr of Cape Girardeau.

Allen Weve was best man.

Flower girl was Makayla Myers, niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Zachary Schmitt, brother of the bride.

The reception was held at the home of the groom's parents. Servers were Cindy and Marissa Kemp of Cape Girardeau.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 14 at Fire Mountain.

Mrs. Johnson is a 2004 graduate of Central High School.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Olathe North High School.

The couple resides in Olathe.
