Jennie Lea Matthews and Jeffery R. Beltz were married June 19, 2004, at Deerfield Lodge. The ceremony was performed by Jim Matthews and Ross Brummett, uncle of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Debbie Matthews of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Jeff and Laura Beltz of Oak Ridge.

Maid of honor was Jamie Dost of Columbia, Mo. Bridesmaids were Katie Matthews, sister of the bride; Heather Dockins, both of Cape Girardeau, and Kara Cantwell of Noblesville, Ind., sister of the groom.

Jack Sanderson of St. Louis was best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Propst of Dexter, Mo., Travis Stevens of Jackson, and Keith Cantwell of Noblesville, brother-in-law of the groom. Ushers were Ryan Matthews of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride, and Ben Turner of Jackson.

Flower girl was Ashley Ford, daughter of Darren and Amy Ford and cousin of the bride.

Kendal Heeb of Cape Girardeau attended the guest book.

Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Deerfield. Servers were Terri Matthews, Lea Ann Brummett, Sharon Ford and Sherry Ford, all aunts of the bride.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 18 at Deerfield.

Mrs. Beltz is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in mass communication at Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at the university and at Rogers Jewelers.

The groom is pursuing a degree in industrial engineering and construction management at the university. He is employed by Brad Beussink Construction.

The couple is residing in the Cape Girardeau area.
