Rebecca Ann Mattes and Kerry Timothy White were united in marriage July 15, 2006, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. J. Friedel performed the ceremony. Lectors were Donna Moore of Higganum, Conn., sister of the groom; Bernard White of North Branford, Conn., brother of the groom; and Wayne Mattes of Cape Girardeau, father of the bride. Soloists were Sarah Uptmor and Alan Bruns of Cape Girardeau, and musicians were Sara Edgerton, Cheryl Oberhaus and Paul Thompson of Cape Girardeau.
The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Kathy Mattes of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Kathleen White of Fairfield, Conn., and the late Thomas White.
Matron of honor was Christina Bruenderman of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Emily Seiler of Benton, Mo., cousin of the bride; Samantha Berens of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; Amanda Gosche of St. Louis; Amy Mattes of Kelso, Mo., sister-in-law of the bride; and Amy Blattel of Cape Girardeau.
Dominic Gualtieri of Fairfield was best man. Groomsmen were Mark Haley of Houston,Texas; David Silva and Erik Buckley of St. Louis; Ryan Mattes of Kelso, brother of the bride; and Ryan Kanive of Fairview Heights, Ill. Ushers were Tyler Berens of Fort Walton Beach; Chad Seiler of Benton, cousin of the bride; and Michael Sirimaturos of Houston.
Miniature bride was Allison Seiler, daughter of Mark and Lila Seiler of Benton, cousin and goddaughter of the bride.
Flower girl was Nicole Mattes, daughter of Ryan and Amy Mattes, niece and goddaughter of the bride.
Lisa Seiler of Benton, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book. Programs were handed out by Danielle and Melissa White of Branford, nieces of the groom.
The reception was held at the Elks Lodge. Servers were Karen and Lila Seiler of Benton, aunts of the bride.
The groom's mother hosted the rehearsal dinner July 13 at Bella Italia.
Mrs. White is a 1999 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2003. She is a second grade teacher at Barretts Elementary in Manchester, Mo.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Fairfield College Preparatory School in Fairfield. He received a bachelor of science degree in aeronautical science from St. Louis University in 2004. He is a first officer with Trans States Airlines in St. Louis.
After a wedding trip to Maui and Kauai, Hawaii, the couple resides in St. Louis.
