JACKSON, Mo. -- Jill Lindsay Lowes and Matthew Todd Allen exchanged vows Dec. 29, 2001, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Rev. David Johnson performed the double ring ceremony. Pianist and organist was Orville Perr Jr. of Jackson, and string selections were by Trio Girardeaux. Soloist was Anne Gardner of Philadelphia, Pa., and a duet was sung by Mr. and Mrs. Jason Vance of Houston, Texas, brother-in-law and sister of the groom.
The bride is the daughter of Marilyn Lowes of Jackson, and the late Ronald Lowes. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Allen of Houston.
Holly Lowes of Jackson was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Lefebvre of Jackson, Kara Brase of Springfield, Mo., Anne Gardner, and Angela Collins of Evansville, Ill.
Best man was Scott Long of Atlanta, Ga. Groomsmen were Chris Davis of Los Angeles, Tommy Reeder of Tulsa, Okla., Jeff Whaling and Mark Pardue of San Antonio, Texas. Ushers were Trent Myer of Ft. Drum, N.Y., brother-in-law of the bride; Keith Kimble of Nashville, Tenn., and Matthew Jones of Knoxville, Tenn.
Candlelighters were Christy Hinkle of Chicago and Carissa Swift of Detroit, Mich.
Ringbearer was Hunter Myer, son of Trent and Tracy Myer and nephew of the bride.
Guest book attendants were Tracy Myer, sister of the bride, and Heather Brooker of Tulsa.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Drury Lodge.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Dec. 28 at Kelsen Gallery in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Allen received a bachelor of science degree in public relations from Murray State University. She is employed by Southwestern Legacy Financial Services.
The groom received a bachelor of science degree in international business and marketing from Oklahoma State University. He is employed by Great American Opportunities Inc.
The couple resides in Corpus Christi, Texas.
