PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Christi Loepker and Bruce Schlimpert were married Oct. 5, 2002, at St. Augustine Church in Breese, Ill. Deacon Bob Lippert performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Wendell and Lucille Loepker of Breese. The groom is the son of Milton and Mary Schlimpert of Altenburg, Mo.
Matron of honor was Julie Bassler, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Janel Mueller, Tona Huelsmann, Tonya Schwartz, and Angi Niemeyer, niece of the bride.
Darryl Hadler was best man. Groomsmen were Andy Schumer, Jim Schlichting, Tom Meyr, and Kris Schlimpert, brother of the groom. Ushers were Luke Niemeyer and Jeff Loepker, nephews of the bride; Stuart Ruehling, cousin of the groom; and Scott Ponder.
Flower girls were Natalie Schlimpert, niece of the groom, and Lauren Bassler, niece of the bride. Ringbearers were Brandon Loepker and Austin Bassler, nephews of the bride.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Breese.
Mrs. Schlimpert is a physical therapist assistant at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is an HVAC technician at Kastner Plumbing in St. Louis.
After a wedding trip to Gulf Shores, Ala., the couple resides in Perryville.
