Jessica Lehman and Justin Pattengill were married July 3, 2004, at Sparta Westminster Presbyterian Church in Sparta, Ill. The Rev. Karen Knodt performed the ceremony. Organist was June Elwyn, and musicians were Bryan Schmid, Julia and Eric Pitts, and Lisa Barrett. Reader was Katie Dees.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Doris Lehman of Sparta. The groom is the son of Boyd Pattengill and Linda Pattengill of Benton, Mo.
Bridesmaids were Karen Bowles, Danea Johnson, Julie Noland, Heather McIntyre, Erin Barber and Tricia Funston.
Brandin Pattengill, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Shelton, Michael Crowden, Tyson and Kyle Moyers, and Justin Guiling. Ushers were Shannon Lehman, brother of the bride; Ryan Dannenmueller and Roger Kiplinger.
Miniature bride was Grace Johnson, and miniature groom was Jackson Lehman, nephew of the bride.
Candlelighters were Brandis Fullerton and Erica Ogilvie, cousins of the bride, and Donielle Howell, cousin of the groom.
Flower girl was Cassidy Westjohn and ringbearer was Cameron Westjohn, cousins of the bride.
Guest book attendant was Brooke Lipe. Tara Long handed out programs.
The reception was held at Bavarian Halle in Jackson.
Mrs. Pattengill is a 1995 graduate of Sparta High School, 1999 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, and received a master's degree in education from Webster University in 2002. She is a kindergarten teacher at Blanchard Elementary School in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Kelly High School, and a 2000 graduate of Southeast University. He is employed at Standley Batch Systems in Cape Girardeau.
After a wedding trip to Mexico, the couple is residing in Jackson.
