Elizabeth Clarkson Kunz and Joseph Edward Hesselbach were married Aug. 13, 2005, at Graham Chapel on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis.

The bride is the daughter of David and Gail Kunz of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Mary and Ron Howard of Little Rock, Ark., and Michael Hesselbach of Chicago.

Maid of honor was Katherine Kunz of Clearwater, Fla., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Leanne Booth of New Burn, N.C., Heather Steffens of Cape Girardeau, Christy Brueckner of Charleston, S.C., and Rachel Meier of St. Louis, sister of the groom.

The groom chose his cousin, Neil Hesselbach of St. Louis, as best man. Groomsmen were Ben Dueckner, Roger Johns, Dan Hughes, and Michael Hesselbach, brother of the groom, all of St. Louis.

A dinner and dance reception was held at Windows Off Washington.

Mrs. Hesselbach is a 1997 graduate of Central High School. She received bachelor and master degrees in accounting from the University of Missouri-Columbia, and is a graduate of Washington University School of Law. She is an associate in the law firm of Mathis, Marifian, Richter and Grandy in Belleville, Ill.

The groom is a 1997 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas-Mercy High School in Florissant, Mo. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master of science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is an international accounting supervisor at Emerson Electric in St. Louis.

The couple resides in St. Louis.
