Laurie Elizabeth Kreher and Marl Lee Carlton were married July 14, 2012, at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Revs. Tom Kiefer and Thomas Miller performed the ceremony. Readers were Alison Keiper and Mary Amann, godmother of the bride. Music was by a string quartet comprised of Michael and Nancy Monahan and Erica and Toni Lynne.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Linda Kreher of Smithton, Ill. The groom is the son of Editha R. Carlton of Missouri, and the late Thomas Lee Carlton.

Maid of honor was Stephanie Kreher and matron of honor was Angie Paisley, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tara O'Connell; Ellen Bishop; Natalie Hassen; Melanie and MacKenzie Kreher, both sisters-in-law of the bride.

Ben Martin was best man. Groomsmen were David Barks; Cody Cardwell; Daniel Kreher, brother of the bride; Anthony Paisley, brother-in-law of the bride; Adam and Micael Kreher, brothers of the bride. Ushers were Nathanial Golden and Trey Busch.

Ringbearers were Yukon Kreher and Jack Paisley, nephews of the bride. Bible bearer was Duncan Brown.

Guest book attendant was Renee Amann.

The dinner and dance reception was held at The Venue.

The groom's mother hosted the rehearsal dinner July 13 at Buckner Brewing Co.

Mrs. Carlton is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, and is pursuing a master's degree. She is a part-time registered dietitian at SoutheastHEALTH.

The groom is employed at Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures in Scott City. He is pursuing a degree in engineering at Southeast.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
