Jocelyn Kendrick and Ross Andrew Bennett were united in marriage July 29, 2006, at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Hannibal, Mo. The Rev. Paul Short performed the ceremony.
Vocalists were Sherry Mack of Hannibal, Connie Walker of Monroe City, Mo., Debby Stout of Independence, Mo., the bride, sisters of the bride and groom, and Patrick Hedges of Hannibal. Organist and pianist were Mack and Walker; guitarist was Matthew Walker of Columbia, Mo., cousin of the bride; and trumpeter was Alan Embree of Hannibal.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kendrick of Ewing, Mo., and Dr. and Mrs. Michael Bennett of Cape Girardeau.
Matron of honor was Juliah Ginos of Springfield, Ill., sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jessica Sublette of Palmyra, Mo., and Jackie McGinness of Overland Park, Kan., sisters of the bride; Gwenda Bennett of Cape Girardeau, Ellie Bennett of Little Rock, Ark., and Trisha Mothershead of Cape Girardeau, sisters of the groom; and Andrea Copenhaver of Cameron, N.C., cousin of the bride.
Greg Clark of Corydon, Ind., was best man. Groomsmen were Tatum Kitchen, Sam Stahly, cousin of the groom, both of Cape Girardeau; Jeremy Robins and Jake Kreihbal of Kansas City, Mo.; Russ Mothershead II of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the groom; and Clinton Miller of Quincy, Ill., cousin of the bride. Ushers were Brandon Sublette, Jamie McGinness and Alex Ginos, brothers-in-law of the bride; Darin Miller of Palmyra and Larry Mack of Hannibal, uncles of the bride; and J.B. White of Kansas City.
Candlelighters were Anna Walker of Columbia and Lindsey Schindler of Hannibal, cousins of the bride.
Flower girls and ringbearer were Olivia, Mallory and Laithan Sublette, nieces and nephew of the bride. They are the children of Brandon and Jessica Sublette.
The reception was held at the Star Theatre in Hannibal. Cake servers were Kathy Abell and Cathy Wiewel.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's family July 28 at Garth Woodside Mansion in Hannibal.
Mrs. Bennett is a 1999 graduate of Highland High School in Ewing, and a 2003 graduate of Western Illinois University at Macomb. She is pursuing certification in elementary education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Central High school, and a 2004 graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He is a fourth year dental student at the university in Kansas City.
After a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple resides in Kansas City.
