MR. & MRS. MATTHEW E. ESSNER
BENTON, Mo. -- Jody Christine Jordan and Matthew Eugene Essner were married May 7, 2005, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jefferson City, Mo.
Parents of the couple are Jim and Jane Jordan of Jefferson City, and Larry and Betty Essner of Benton.
Maid of honor was Joanna Jordan of Jefferson City, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Richmond of St. Louis, sister of the bride; Amy Trube of Kansas City, Mo.; Natalie Ramlow of Columbia, Mo.; Hannah Hagan of St. Louis; Janelle Essner of Columbia and Kayla Essner of Benton, sisters of the groom; and Stephanie Thompson of Columbia, S.C.
Justin Essner of Orlando, Fla., was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Jamie Essner of Columbia, cousin of the groom; Andrew Mothershead of Columbia, Mo., Luke Chote of Sacramento, Calif., Bandit Thorne of Scott City, Nick Hogan of New Madrid, Mo., C.O. Scheffer and Tom Venneman of Columbia, Mo. Ushers were Marty Richmond of St. Louis, brother-in-law of the bride; Christopher Dirnberger of Columbus, Ohio, and Adam Obermiller of Columbia, Mo.
Flower girl was Jordan Richmond, daughter of Marty and Jennifer Richmond of St. Louis and niece of the bride.
The reception was held at the church's Selinger Centre.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 6 at Selinger Centre.
Mrs. Essner is a 1997 graduate of Jefferson City High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2001. She is the on premise sales manager with Major Brands in Columbia, Mo.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau. He received a bachelor of science degree in ag management and ag economics from UMC in 2003. He is owner/operator of Tiger Snacks in Columbia.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple is residing in Columbia.
