Amy Beth Johnson and Jesse David Martin were married May 15, 2010, at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Tom Kiefer performed the ceremony. Organist was Leanne Hendrix of Cape Girardeau and soloist was Michelle Spooler of Jackson.
Parents of the couple are Doug and Alice Johnson of Cape Girardeau, and Steve and Linda Martin of Jackson.
Matron of honor was Kim Strong of Branson, Mo. Bridesmaid was Julie Martin of Jackson, sister-in-law of the groom.
Chris and Robert Martin of Jackson, brothers of the groom, were best man and groomsman, respectively. Ushers were Brodie Martin of Jackson, nephew of the groom, and Ben Strong of Branson.
Flower girl was Lyla Martin, daughter of Chris and Julie Martin and niece of the groom. Ringbearer was Hayden Hill, son of Tim and Emily Hill of Jackson.
Guest book attendant was Morgan Strong, daughter of David and Kim Strong.
The reception was held at Deerfield Lodge.
The bride and groom hosted the rehearsal dinner May 14 at Bella Italia.
Mrs. Martin is a 1999 graduate of Jackson High School. She received an associate's degree in radiologic technology from Southeast Hospital College of Nursing and Health Sciences, a bachelor of science from Southeast Missouri State University, and is pursuing a master's degree in health care administration. She is radiology information system administrator at Southeast Hospital.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Jackson High School. He received an associate's degree in electronics at IET in Paducah, Ky. He is cardiology information system administrator at Saint Francis Medical Center.
After a wedding trip to Branson, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
