Crystal J. James and Travis C. Honey were married July 27, 2002, at First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Jay White performed the ceremony. Organist and pianist was Mary Miller, and soloist was Jamie Sepulvado.
Parents of the bride are Jimmy W. James of Millersville, and the late Linda G. James. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell C. Honey of Olive Branch, Ill.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father.
Maid of honor was Jessica Hitt of Jackson, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Denise Baker of Marble Hill, Mo., and Jessie Lincoln of Millersville.
Justin Grace of Olive Branch was best man. Groomsmen were Frank Blakemore of Olive Branch and J.J. Perkins of Tamms, Ill. Ushers were Larry Dillman of Cape Girardeau, uncle of the groom, and Jim Sperling of Millersville, uncle of the bride.
Candlelighters were Laura Bennett of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the groom, and Susan Jordan of Marble Hill, sister of the bride.
Susan Holland of Marble Hill attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church. Servers were Linda Dillman of Cape Girardeau, aunt of the groom; Linda Sperling of Millersville, Brenda Harris and Karen Shirley of Jackson, aunts of the bride.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner July 26 at Port Cape.
Mrs. Honey is a 2001 graduate of Woodland High School in Marble Hill. She received a certificate of completion in dental assisting at Cape Girardeau Career and Technology Center in 2002. She is employed at Christian School for the Young Years in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Egyptian High School in Tamms. He expects to receive a degree in agriculture/business from Southeast Missouri State University Dec. 14. He is farming with his father in Olive Branch.
After a wedding trip to Nashville and Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Olive Branch.
