EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Meredith Brooke Jackson and Corey Lee Adkisson were married April 8, 2006, at Charleston United Methodist Church in Charleston, Mo. The Rev. Roger Jespersen performed the ceremony. Organist was Terry Parker, and soloist was Anna Ferrell, both of Charleston.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Pamela Lauderback of St. Peters, Mo., and Jeffrey Jackson of Owatonna, Minn. The groom is the son of Gary and Jeanne Adkisson of East Prairie.
Matron of honor was Sara Baker of Cape Girardeau. Bridesmaids were Janet Anders of Cape Girardeau; Geri Seavey of Olathe, Kan., and Jaclyn Hankins of Overland Park, Kan., both cousins of the bride; Kimberly Bowles of Jackson, sister of the groom; and Amy Galemore of Charleston, sister-in-law of the groom.
Best men were Clay Pope of Jackson, Chad Jamerson of East Prairie, Brandon Gregory of Bonne Terre, Mo., Todd Roth of Cape Girardeau; Richard Galemore of Keller, Texas, and Steven Galemore of Charleston, both brothers of the groom. Ushers were Joshua Hankins of Olathe, cousin of the bride; Shannon Bowles of Jackson, brother-in-law of the groom; and Rob Carr of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the groom.
Candlelighters were Christian Wessel, cousin of the bride, and Taylor Galemore, niece of the groom. Parents are Richard and Staley Wessel of Blue Springs, Mo., and Richard and Kathy Galemore.
Flower girls were Ashlynne Hankins and Mallory Galemore. Ringbearers were Mason Galemore and Zachary Hankins. Ashlynne and Zachary are children of Joshua and Amy Hankins and cousins of the bride. Mallory and Mason are children of Steven and Amy Galemore, and niece and nephew of the groom.
The reception was held at St. Henry Catholic School gymnasium. Servers were Melissa Vowels and Kay Glastetter of Charleston, and Laura Halter of Benton.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner April 7 at Top of the Town Banquet Room in East Prairie.
Mrs. Adkisson is a 1999 graduate of Jackson High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University in 2003. She is a second grade teacher at R.A. Doyle Elementary School in East Prairie.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of East Prairie High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast in 2003. He is a teacher and coach at East Prairie High School.
After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple resides in East Prairie.
