Huxel -- Hudson

Christa Rose Huxel and Seth Matthew Hudson, both of Cape Girardeau, were married at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 8, 2014, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Washington, Missouri. Father Kevin Schmittgens performed the ceremony, and Sue Bright of Washington provided the music.

The bride is the daughter of Terry and Lisa Huxel of Washington and the groom is the son of Roger and Elizabeth Hudson of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Elizabeth Watkins of Nashville, Tennessee; and bridesmaids were LaDonna Jenkins of Champaign, Illinois; Steffie Allerslev of Cape Girardeau; Kaci Wright of Cape Girardeau; Sarah Huxel of St. Charles, Missouri; the sister-in-law of the bride; and Jami Hudson of Columbus, Ohio, the sister-in-law of the groom.

Zac Hudson of Columbus, the brother of groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Trever Duncan of Cape Girardeau; Chris Daniel of Houston, Texas; Matt Pyeatte of Cape Girardeau; Chris Limbaugh of Cape Girardeau; Dane Huxel of St. Charles, brother of the bride; Ryan Huxel of Washington, brother of the bride; and Michael Massmann of Shawnee, Kansas, cousin of the bride.

The flower girl was Reese Robinson of San Antonio, Texas, the cousin of the groom, and the ring bearer was Eli Huxel of St. Charles, the nephew of the bride.

Program attendants were Mandie Presser of Cape Girardeau, Candice O'Hare of Jackson and Rachel Koenemann of Washington. The ushers were Tom Eberline of Overland Park, Kansas, Dave Doiron of Saco, Maine, and Dan Brink of Sanford, Maine.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents on Nov. 7, 2014, at John G's Tap Room in Washington. The wedding reception took place at Jesuit Hall, St. Francis Borgia Parish, in Washington.

Christa is a 2005 graduate of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in Washington. She received a bachelor of science degree in dietetics from Southeast Missouri State University in 2008, and a master of science degree in dietetics from Eastern Illinois University in 2011. She is a registered dietitian at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Seth is a 2003 graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau. He received a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences and a doctorate of chiropractic from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2011. He is a chiropractic physician at Hudson Chiropractic at The Pillar Chiropractic Physicians Centre in Cape Girardeau.

The couple will reside in Cape Girardeau.
