Sharon Riley Homer of Bernie, Missouri, and Dennis H. Wessel of Cape Girardeau were married April 9 at Camp Allen in Greenville, Missouri. The Rev. Jonathan Rice performed the ceremony. In lieu of music, Disney video clips were played for the grandchildren, nieces and nephews and the couple entered to video clips of Matt Dillon and Miss Kitty with "You Had Me from Hello" playing in the background.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Linda Riley of Bernie. The groom is the son of Eugenie Wessel of Cape Girardeau and the late Harold E. Wessel.
A wedding reception was held at the Camp Allen Dining Hall followed by a pulled-pork dinner.
Sharon received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in 1987 from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was formerly a farm administrator at MO F.A.I.T.H. Inc. in Gideon, Missouri.
Dennis received a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture in 1974 from Southeast Missouri State University. He works in the parts department at MidSouth Steel in Cape Girardeau.
The couple plans to take a wedding trip to Florida later in the summer.
The couple lives in Cape Girardeau.
