Hodge-Morgan

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- St. Ambrose Catholic Church was the setting June 3, 2006, for the wedding of Jill Caroline Hodge and Jason David Morgan. The Rev. Ralph Duffner performed the ceremony. Scriptures were read by Jodi Pfefferkorn of Memphis, Tenn.

Organist was Betty Vandeven of Chaffee. Vocalists were Laura Eftink of Gordonville and Alan Bruns of Cape Girardeau.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Carol Hodge of Chaffee. The groom is the son of Lisa Shaffer of Chaffee.

Maid of honor was Jodi Hodge of Chaffee and matron of honor was Julie Underwood of Scott City, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Crystal Phillips of Chaffee, sister of the groom; Kristi Uhrhan of Springfield, Mo., Brooke McFerron and Casey Graviett of Cape Girardeau, Dusti Norwood of Jonesboro, Ark., and Kara Cannon of Galvez, La. Junior bridesmaid was Michaela Cobb of Scott City, cousin of the bride.

Wade Cannon of Chaffee was best man. Groomsmen were Matt Underwood of Scott City, brother-in-law of the bride; Billy Phillips of Chaffee, brother-in-law of the groom; Stephen Bentley of Chaffee, Jason Harrell of Cape Girardeau, Denny Graviett and Bryan Kinder of Chaffee, and Adam Marlow of Scott City. Junior groomsman was Austin Shaffer of Chaffee, brother of the groom. Ushers were Jeremy and Ryan Glastetter of Chaffee, cousins of the bride.

Candlelighters were Jaimie Harmon of Chaffee and Sara Davie of Gordonville. Junior candlelighters were Haley and Kaitlin Glastetter of Chaffee, cousins of the bride.

Programs were handed out by Courtney Loucks and Crystal Schultz of Chaffee.

A dinner and dance reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City. Servers were Mary Cobb and Ruth Glastetter, aunts of the bride; Morgan Kiefer and Megan McFerron of Chaffee.

Mrs. Morgan is a graduate of Chaffee High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Southeast Missouri State University in 2005. She is employed with Hertz Corp. in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is a graduate of Chaffee High School. He received a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Southeast in 2004, and is a 2005 graduate of the university's Law Enforcement Academy. He is a deputy with Scott County Sheriff's Department in Benton, Mo.

After a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple resides in Chaffee.
