Helderman-McMillan

Darlene Jennifer Annette Helderman and Danny Ray McMillan exchanged vows Sept. 9, 2006, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo. The Rev. Oliver Clavin performed the ceremony. Organist was Betty Ressel and vocalist was Krista Keesee.

The bride is the daughter of Darrell and Kitrina Helderman of Jackson. The groom is the son of Dennis and Debora McMillan and Mary and Jeff Hency, all of Scott City.

Maid of honor was April Cossey of Cape Girardeau, and bridesmaids were Melanie Willis of Cape Girardeau and Jessica Zimmer of Lawrence, Kan. Junior bridesmaid was Valkyrie Helderman of Jackson, sister of the bride.

The groom chose his father as best man. Groomsmen were Adrian Richey, brother-in-law of the groom, and Travis Rowland. Ushers were Jeff Hency, stepfather of the groom, and Dusty Lair.

Candlelighters were Tim and Linda Johnston of Scott City, godparents of the groom.

Flower girl was Paige Schaefer, daughter of Chris and Brandy Schaefer of Chaffee, Mo. Ringbearer was Tyler Jackson, son of Preston and Kari Jackson of Olathe, Kan., and cousin of the groom.

Amanda Richey, sister of the groom, attended the guest book.

The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City.

The groom's father and stepmother hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 8 at their home.

Mrs. McMillan is a department manager at Wal-Mart Supercenter in Cape Girardeau.

The groom is an installation technician at Stereo One in Cape Girardeau.

After a wedding trip to Branson, Mo., the couple resides in Scott City.
