Laura Manissa Hamm and Dustin Levi Benfield were united in marriage May 8, 2010, at the home of the bride's parents. The Honorable W.H. Winchester performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Glen and Nancy Hamm of Scott City. The groom is the son of Regina Ward of Sikeston, Mo., and Paul Benfield of Marble Hill, Mo.
Matron of honor was Bridget Ledbetter of Sikeston, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Andrea Kestner of Scott City, Kristin Taylor of Rolla, Mo., and Amy Grater of Belleville, Ill.
Nick Benfield of Sikeston was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Josh Powers of Cape Girardeau, Kory Smith of Joplin, Mo., and Travis Benfield of Glenallen, Mo., cousin of the groom. Ushers were Toby Ledbetter of Sikeston, brother-in-law of the bride, and Wesley Hamm of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride.
Flower girl and ringbearer were Carlee and Kaleb Ledbetter, niece and nephew of the bride. They are the children of Toby and Bridget Ledbetter.
The reception was held at the American Legion Hall in Benton, Mo.
Mrs. Benfield is a 2006 graduate of Kelly High School at Benton, and 2008 graduate of Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Mo. She is a registered veterinary technician at Skyview Animal Clinic in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Sikeston High School, and 2007 graduate of Linn State Technical College at Linn, Mo. He is a technician at Harris Auto Body in Jackson.
After a wedding trip to Virginia Beach, Va., and Washington, D.C., the couple is residing in Marble Hill.
