Kellee Griffin and Nathan Holmes were married June 7, 2003, in an outdoor setting at the home of his parents. Dr. Tony Janner performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Larry Chasteen and Kent Blocker of Oran, and Rick Irwin of Morley, Mo. Vocalists were Jill Chrusciel of Jackson and Chasteen.
The bride is the daughter of Roy Griffin of Oran and Deanna Tierney of Taylor, Texas. Bill and Bonnie Holmes of Oran are parents of the groom.
Maid of honor was Tara Griffin of Taylor, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Alicia Webb, Elizabeth Griffin, sister of the bride, Christa Griswell, all of Oran, and Michele Nicoles of Mokane, Mo.
Justin Hahn of Oran was best man. Groomsmen were Matt Irwin and Jeremy Griffin, brother of the bride, both of Oran, Brian Hulshof of Kelso, Mo., and Jesse Branson of Oran.
Candlelighters were Kenny Anderson, uncle of the groom; Jeremy, Joaquin and Ben Anderson, cousins of the groom, all of Sikeston, Mo.
Flower girl was Abby Chrusciel, daughter of Tom and Jill Chrusciel. Ringbearer was Michael Porter, son of Jim and Jennifer Porter of Sikeston and cousin of the bride.
Genevieve Barron attended the guest book.
The outdoor reception was also held at the home of the groom's parents. Servers were Glenn and Susan Nothdurft, Ron and Valerie Abernathy, Gerry and Jane Shinn, Lori Boardman, Laura Hendly, Dale Leikam, Connie Thompson, Vivian Boyer, Rosalie May, Arlene Roberts, Eileen Meier, Dawn Martin and Darla Kelley.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at their home.
Mrs. Holmes is a junior at Southeast Missouri State University majoring in nursing. She is employed at Lori's Little Rascals Daycare and at David's Food Mart, both in Oran.
The groom is a senior at Southeast University majoring in agriculture business. He is employed on the family farm.
The couple is residing in Oran.
