Kerrie Michelle Gordon and Christopher D. Katz exchanged wedding vows June 25, 2005, at Cape Bible Chapel in Cape Girardeau. Dan Greene performed the ceremony. Musicians were Ralph Sharp and the Cape Bible Chapel Praise Team. Pianist was Jonathan Young of Jackson, and soloists were Jeff Grindstaff of Jackson and Shannon Sundberg of Bellevue, Neb.
The bride is the daughter of Debra and Rick Chastain of Jackson and Peter Gordon of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Eve Katz and Brian Bosiljevac of Bellevue and Gary Katz of Omaha, Neb.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Matron of honor was Johanna Brooks of O'Fallon, Mo., and maid of honor was Leslie Gordon of Jackson, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Wendy Blankenship of Oxford, Miss., Nicole White of St. Louis, and Vanessa Toll of Overland Park, Kan.
Dan Sundberg of Bellevue was best man. Groomsmen were Michael Katz of Bellevue, brother of the groom; Matt Gordon of Jackson, brother of the bride; Cody Bull of Camdenton, Mo., and LeShawn Smith of Corpus Christi, Texas. Ushers were Josh Brooks of O'Fallon, brother-in-law of the bride, David Sperling of Glenwood, Iowa, and John Powell of Kansas City, Mo.
Candlelighters were Angela Horn of Wichita, Kan., and Katie Baker of Jackson.
Flower girl and ringbearer were Morgan and Joey Burns, children of Jason and Tasha Burns of Arnold, Mo., and cousins of the bride.
Katie Smith of Asheville, N.C., attended the guest book.
The reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Servers were Marilyn Ingram of Waterloo, Ill., Darleta Darnell of St. Charles, Mo., Shelby McBride of Jackson, Paula Andrews of Millersville, and Bill and Terri Ringpfiel of Cape Girardeau.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Dexter Bar-B-Que.
Mrs. Katz is a 2000 graduate of Jackson High School, and a 2004 graduate of Southwest Baptist University at Bolivar, Mo. She is a special education teacher at Bolivar High School, and is a graduate student at Missouri State in Springfield.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Bellevue East High school, and 2004 graduate of Southwest Baptist. He is assistant football coach, a dorm supervisor, and a graduate student at Southwest.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in Bolivar.
