CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Amy Renee Goetz and Matthew Ray Richter were married March 2, 2002, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells, Mo. The Rev. Walter Patzwitz performed the double ring ceremony. Organist was Susan Ludwig of Shawneetown, Mo., trumpeter was Jennifer Zoellner of Farrar, Mo., and soloist was Joleta Ludwig of Shawneetown.
Parents of the couple are Larry and Vickie Goetz of Chaffee, and Raymond and Audrey Richter of New Wells.
Matron of honor was Jennifer Schlueter of New Wells. Bridesmaids were Kristi Meyr and Tori Mirly of Jackson, Mo.; Kara Steffens of Perryville, Mo., and Renee Schlichting of Altenburg, Mo., both cousins of the bride; and Diane Mirly of New Wells. Junior bridesmaids were Aundrea Gonzaque of New Wells, niece of the groom, and Christine Goetz of St. Louis, cousin of the bride.
Brad Meyr of New Wells served the groom as best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Goetz of Chaffee, brother of the bride; David Mirly of New Wells; Ryan Goetz of Chaffee, brother of the bride; Jason Schlueter of O'Fallon, Mo., and Steven Hecht of New Wells. Junior groomsman was Austin Gonzaque of New Wells, nephew of the groom. Ushers were Josh Meyr of New Wells, cousin of the bride, and Branson Mabry of Altenburg.
Flower girl was Chelsea Eatherton, daughter of Ben and Penny Eatherton of Pocahontas, Mo., and cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Cody Schoenebeck, son of Paula Meyr of New Wells and cousin of the bride.
Candlelighters were Sarah Schlichting of Altenburg and Hannah Steffens of Perryville, cousins of the bride.
Dana Zoellner and Paula Meyr attended the guest book.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner March 1 at the KC Hall.
Mrs. Richter is a 1997 graduate of Chaffee High School, and a 2001 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Southwestern Bell.
The groom is a 1990 graduate of Jackson High School. He is employed by city of Cape Girardeau.
The couple resides in New Wells.
